Times Like These….am I right?
There is a significant amount of worry happening in the world currently, and rightfully so. We’re focused on loved ones, health care workers, those without jobs, the homeless…etc. At times we feel lost, confused, helpless and often depressed. I get that these feelings can consume us, I often feel that way too.
Positivity is a choice though, and I know inspiring yourself to take charge of your life again is hard. However, letting negativity ruin your day, week or even month….is not the answer. I want you to remember that you are capable of wonderful things. What you think and envision for yourself, even at times like these, can happen if you truly want them to.
So what do you do when you begin to feel like this? 🤔 You take action! Call loved ones, work out, practice deep breathing and meditation, turn on Spotify, choose your playlist and dance….anything and everything to keep yourself motivated and active during this time. Start by setting little achievable goals for yourself and documenting your progress. It’ll give you something new to focus on, rather than just Netflix. Or, find a passion project you’ve been dying to try and pursue it with sheer focus. I’ve recently taken ‘Pinteresting’ to a whole new level and have found multiple new hobbies I can’t wait to try!

Once in a while, you just need to reflect on what makes you happy and how you can get back to that state of being. Take your time, this moment is yours. Be grateful for your health, thankful for your relationships and humble overall. YOU and only you, have the power to shift your mindset.
